What and where is Chadwell Heath?

It’s a district of Redbridge, Dagenham and Barking in the more northern reaches of east London forming part of the Greater London area and just two miles from Romford.

It has one or two key employers such as food company Dairy Crest and is very much West Ham United territory with the Premier League club having their training base in the area. Amongst famous residents were the late West Ham United and England captain Bobby Moore, actor Dudley Moore, singer Sandie Shaw and Eva Hart – a survivor of the Titanic.

A benefit of being so close to other districts and London itself is the convenience of various amenities.

Shopping – plenty in and around Chadwell Heath and nearby Romford has huge shopping facilities beaten only by the nearby Stratford Westfield (20 minutes by train).

Eating and drinking – there are various options within easy reach of most homes in Chadwell Heath whether a gastro pub or coffee shop, and again areas such as nearby Romford offer still more options including nightlife and entertainment options.

The general area around Chadwell Heath in Barking and Dagenham is encouraging both arts and SME’s (Small to Medium Enterprises) with very reasonable rates for start up premises and arts hubs, and a large-scale house building programme for the next 20 years.
